T

he IVCi Audio Visual Division produces dozens of technically detailed and comprehensive drawings on a daily basis for our customers. The designs on this page represent the complex nature of today's audio visual systems. By developing a custom engineering package for each project, we are able to ensure proper system layout and configuration. A typical engineering package will include facility plans and system flow diagrams.

The facility plans detail the locations of all 'in-room' equipment, including displays, projectors, interfaces, source devices, and equipment racks. Included with the facility plans are infrastructure drawings, which indicate the required building support for the audio visual installation. Conduit runs, AC power requirements, structural support, and mechanical requirements are an integral part of a successful project. These plans are used in coordination with other job-site trades to distribute information.

The system flow diagrams show the interconnection of all audio visual equipment in the systems. Each component is labeled with the proper manufacturer and model number and alternating line types are used to show the different signal levels connecting the devices. A custom wire number scheme is developed for each system flow diagram so as to have a clear identification of each cable in any given location. Equipment rack elevations are generally included with system flow diagrams showing components in an equipment rack to guide the fabrication process.

IVCi's CAD engineers are skilled in the latest tools of their trade. Using complex 3D CAD software, our engineers are able to produce renderings of actual rooms before their construction is complete. These renderings allow clients to visualize the impact that the technology will have on their environment, helping them make better informed decisions. Full-motion video can even be incorporated into renderings allowing users to see simulated video conferences or presentations.
