Our V-Panels have been designed with appearance and versatility in mind. At less than 2 inches deep, the TPMC-V15 Touchpanel can be mounted virtually anywhere using a third-party VESA 75 compliant mounting bracket or stand. A pre-configured tabletop tilt model (TPMC-V15-TILT) is offered, supplied with its own ultra-stylish, smooth-tilt base to deliver a very sleek-looking, low-profile control solution for desktops, counters, and other level surfaces. A wall mount model (TPMC-V15-WALL) is also offered, affording the same V-Panel style and function in a thoroughly modern, yet unimposing, flush mount design.
Advanced Touch Panel Control
Crestron touch panels offer an ideal user-interface for multimedia presentation, home automation, command centers, and much more, providing a wide-open canvas for the creation of custom control screens tailored to the needs of the end-user. Touch panels do away with piles of remote controls, cryptic control panels and cluttered wall switches, simultaneously expanding and simplifying control over a broad range of complex devices and systems.
Fully custom touch panel control is afforded through the TPMC-V15’s generous 15” touch screen. Dynamic graphics and text capabilities enable the display of all kinds of useful data and alluring eye candy — from AV controls and icons — to room temperature and lighting levels — to photos and video — to digital media playlists complete with metadata and cover art. Advanced gestures navigation, animated objects, multi-mode buttons, PNG translucency, and page transition effects enhance the palette for creating interactive GUIs that are both eye-catching and easy to use.
Powered by Core 3
The Crestron Core 3 framework enables the generation of dynamically rich user interfaces with greater power and ease than ever. Even on such a compact touchpanel as the TPMC-4SMD, Core 3 lets touchpanel designers merge multiple objects and apps on screen leveraging the power of Adobe® Flash®, streaming video, IP intercom, and other emerging technologies to deliver an engaging and ultra-intuitive touchpanel experience. Use gestures navigation to effortlessly browse through music and movie libraries, scroll through TV channels and radio stations, and select any desired control app from an intuitive menu of colorful 3D icons. Personalize the touchpanel desktop with animated clocks, calendars, weather widgets, news feeds, and other informative objects. Even apply themes and backgrounds that change on the fly with each user, event, or season.
But, the power of Core 3 extends beyond impressive graphics and animated objects, unleashing tremendous new capabilities for controlling devices and managing a complete integrated system. Using the Core 3 SDK, programmers can develop fully functioning "device apps" that can be dropped into each touchpanel project without additional programming or resizing. Or, choose from an expanding library of fully developed device apps to instantly add controls for security systems and HVAC, provide sophisticated navigation for media servers and tuners, and enable user-friendly editing of lighting scenes and channel presets. With Core 3, the possibilities are virtually limitless.
Embedded PC & HD Streaming Media
The TPMC-V15 Touchpanel delivers embedded PC functionality with built-in Windows Media® Player, Internet Explorer, Adobe® Acrobat® Reader, and Microsoft® Office document viewers. While simultaneously controlling the home, boardroom, or lecture hall, the TPMC-V15 Touchpanel provides everything needed for enjoying online music and movies, viewing Web pages and accessing most types of digital media without necessitating a separate computer. In addition, VNC Viewer support delivers enhanced cross-platform interaction with computers over the network or Internet, allowing remote access and control of desktop applications to unleash all kinds of new presentation and system integration possibilities.
Integrated Video
For monitoring security cameras or watching a DVD or television, the TPMC-V15 Touchpanel provides multiple ways to view video signals right on the touch screen. Streaming or downloaded HD video can be viewed using its embedded media players, or conventional video can be viewed through a direct wired connection to an external composite video source. Native support for the motion-JPEG streaming format also allows the TPMC-V15 Touchpanel to display live video from a Web camera or network video streamer (Crestron CEN-NVS100 or equivalent) right over the LAN connection. Video images can be displayed full screen, or at any location on the screen in a fully-scalable window.
Speakers and Microphone
Built-in front-firing speakers provide clear audio for streaming media and internal PC applications, and enable 2-way IP intercom in combination with the integrated microphone. Customized WAV files can also be loaded on the TPMC-V15 Touchpanel to add dimension to the touch screen graphics with personalized sounds, button feedback, and voice prompts.
IP Intercom
Crestron IP intercom enables 2-way voice communication and room monitoring over Ethernet with other compatible Crestron touch panels.
Keyboard/Mouse Options
On-screen keyboard and mouse capabilities enable complete control of the TPMC-V15 Touchpanel's embedded Web browser and other applications, and can also be used to control external network devices like the Crestron ADMS Intermedia Delivery System™ as well as computers running TouchPoint™ Virtual Mouse & Keyboard Software (VMK-WIN). A USB port is also provided for the connection of a physical keyboard and mouse.
Remote Annotation
Remote annotation capability allows multiple touch panel users to draw with their fingertips over the same video image or whiteboard screen, enabling enhanced interaction between several participants in a courtroom, classroom, or council chamber.

Streamlined, Flexible Connectivity
Each TPMC-V15 Touchpanel model ships with a compact interface module (TPMC-V-IMCW), which may be discreetly mounted in a 1-gang wall box, equipment rack, or to any flat surface, providing a single point of connectivity for power, communications, and video signals. Connection between the touch panel and interface module can be made using a V-Cable Siamese Cable (TPMC-V-CBL-S), providing a very clean appearance with lengths available up to 15 feet (4.5 meters). For longer distances up to 330 feet (100 meters), especially for in-wall applications, you may use a choice of several Crestron wire solutions or generic CAT5e Cable.
The TPMC-V-IMCW interface module provides both Cresnet® and high-speed Ethernet ports for control system communications and LAN access. Power can be furnished via Cresnet or an optional power pack (PW-2420RU). Wired video connectivity is handled through a single balanced or unbalanced composite input, allowing compatibility with both conventional coaxial and Crestron Home® Balanced AV distribution systems.
The TPMC-V15 Touchpanel can also be installed without using the interface module. Connectors on the touch panel allow for direct connection to Ethernet or Cresnet, with power provided via the Cresnet port. Please note, wired video connectivity is only available through the TPMC-V-IMCW interface module.
Occupancy Sensing
Crestron GLS-series room occupancy sensors can be connected directly to the TPMC-4SMD to allow automation of the room's lighting, climate control, and other devices.
Simple, Versatile Mounting
The TPMC-4SMD installs easily on virtually any mounting surface. As standard, it mounts directly to a single-gang electrical box (horizontally oriented) or European electrical box, requiring just 1/2-inch mounting depth while protruding less than 3/4-inch from the wall surface. It can also be adapted for mounting to a vertically-oriented 1-gang or 2-gang electrical box, or a 2-gang UK electrical box, using the optional WMKU-4SM Universal Wall Mount Kit, which can also be used without an electrical box for a low-profile surface-mount solution.
For impenetrable surfaces, such as decorative glass, granite, marble, plaster, smooth stone and masonry, Crestron offers the MSMK-4SM Multi-Surface Mount Kit, which provides a very versatile mounting solution complete with a low-profile rear shell enclosure, adhesive mounting plate, optional angle bracket, and wire raceway. And finally, the TTK-4SM Table Top Kit converts the TPMC-4SMD into a stylish, compact tabletop touchpanel, perfect for free-standing use or permanently-mounted on a tabletop or counter surface.
